APG 100th Anniversary Kick-Off a Huge Success

The celebration of Aberdeen Proving Ground’s 100th Anniversary was kicked off with a very well-attended social at the C4ISR complex at APG on January 31, 2017. Major General Bruce Crawford, Senior Mission Commander of APG, County Executive Barry Glassman, Maryland Secretary of Commerce R. Michael Gill, and ACCA President Barney Michel gave remarks at the event, attended by about 500 representatives from industry and government organizations at APG. Dancers from Steppingstone Museum and a ragtime band provided entertainment similar to that enjoyed 100 years ago. Community organizations and Army organizations at APG had displays, including artifacts from World War I. The APG Centennial Celebration Association recognized its sponsors with certificates of appreciation and photographs.
