APG Memorial

APG Memorial

The APG Memorial is a monument to APG civilian, military, and contract workers who died in the conduct of their missions. This monument is located in Festival Park in a serene, public setting in Aberdeen, Maryland. The memorial is etched with the following words:

THIS MONUMENT STANDS AS A TRIBUTE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CIVILIANS, MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS, AND SUPPORT CONTRACTORS OF ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND AND THE FORMER EDGEWOOD ARSENAL WHO LOST THEIR LIVES DURING THE CONDUCT OF THEIR MISSIONS.

WE HONOR THEIR LIVES AND THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR NATIONAL DEFENSE. EACH GAVE THE LAST FULL MEASURE OF DEVOTION WHILE PERFORMING THEIR DUTIES. OUR COMMUNITY IS FOREVER GRATEFUL. MAY THESE FAMILY MEMBERS, FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES FOREVER REST IN PEACE.
